Savage mk2 BTVS aftermarket/modifications/...Scopes?

There is no paperwork for the bottom metal. Mybe an end-users aggrement but that's it, same day shipping!
It's not like you're buying a barrel or receiver!

I recently bought an FV and it is great!! Got the Boyd's thumbhole stock and trigger guard/bottom plate too. The plastic one is really junk. Purchased the apachee trigger kit (highly recommend...as low as 9 oz.!!..set mine to 18 oz.)
Hear alot abought the plate not thick enough, but mine is as accurate as can be. No problems at all and it likes the CCI sub sonic ammo the best! We shoot 20 yards at our club and it puts the shot almost inside the first on a bench!! Great stuff..best stuff I've shot so far! No problems getting the parts from the states either...I did need the longer action screw for the back where it goes in the trigger guard tho. Called Savage Canada and they shipped them no charge!! Great on them!!;) The front was long enough. Good luck ..lots of fun shooting these things!!

Also have a DI products 0 MOA picatinny rail coming from Kinney's shooting supply in North Carolina. Ships to Canada no problem

What kind of rules and regs are there on "fire arms parts" buying from the US? Like the thicker bottom plate shouldnt be an issue to get sent to me should it?

As little airwolf said, there's no issue if you are getting a retailer to send it to you. Your friend in the US would have to obtain a license if he wanted to ship firearm parts out of the country.

Yeah it was bad on here yesterday, terrible load times.

MX racer made his own bottom plate here and had a few extra's so I might get him to send one my way. I kinda wanna get stainless so we'll see if he can do that.

My trigger guard is metal from factory, not sure if thats just a BTVS model thing or what, but I took my knife to it to see if it was plastic and its defiantly metal XD Or im just really special and its a tough plastic. Mind you my mk2 is quite new still.

But yeah, no issues here with it being accurate so far. At the indoor 40 yard range I can punch holes like no ones business and shoot the targets off the line. So I probably am wasting my money right now but I like to tinker and modify things.

The DIP trigger guard and bottom plate are aluminum. The loop on the trigger guard is moved forward. You get more room for a gloved finger and the rear of the loop is close enough to the trigger for a set screw to act as an overtravel stop.
