Savage mkii extractor replacement

There are threads on this 'fix', both here and on RFC. "Sharpening" the hook helps, as does putting a 2nd C-spring or even 'bending' the OEM-spring to tighten it.

Savage is reported to have good support. You may want to get in touch with their warranty department and ask for replacement extractors and spring.

Cheers,
Neil

I had that problem least year, called savage. Told a very nice girl that answered the phone my problem and she transfered me to an equally nice man in warranty dep. Whin in 2 weeks I had replacement parts. They arn't hard to replace. I found savage service exculant! ALL AT NO CHARGE

I've had over a dozen promises to send parts from savage. I'm tired of waiting on them. I don't want to try fixing a problem I shouldn't have with a file. I want replacement parts.
I tried bending the spring but the issue is the extractor is a different shape than my others. When swapped out the gun runs fine.
I'm looking for a spring and extractor replacement

They're extremely nice on the phone. They record the serial number and tell me they're opening an account and will ship the parts. Problem is they don't actually ship the parts

If this is under warranty, they should be getting a part to you. Did you buy New? And did you 'register' the warranty ? If NO to these, try one of the fixes I suggested. They prob are busy with Holiday crap like all other businesses. US Thanksgiving and Christmas beginning. The MKIIs are made in Canada, did you contact Savage in Lakefield directly? There is a number that Doesn't go to US Customer Service.

Anyone know off hand how long the warranty period is on these?

And you HAVE to register to get get it? And if you bought the gun used you're out of luck too? If so I'm SOL...

But... Thats bing... lol
