Savage MkII FV-SR Mini Review / Range Report

Buy as many brands as you can find . . . a box of each is enough.
You should find something to its liking quickly without buying 500 rounds of one brand.
555 and 333 equates to GIGO . . . Garbage In Garbage Out.

I must have an anomaly for a rifle then... my Marlin 795 shoots 555 almost as well as my MkII shoots CCI Blazer. About 3/4" at 50 yards. I only wish my MkII would shoot it that good.

Redneck, what cheekriser is that?

My fvsr shoots great, put a tasco 6-24 on it, but same cheek height problem.
Just got a better stock. Hope it lines up better. Only tried bulk federal in it.
It would not extract until I cleaned the bolt. There was some debris under the spring clip.
I had a brake, got it at epps (ad is usually at top), it didn't line up well - 3 ports at odd angles.
Grouped about .75 "- 1.25 "@ 25yds for 10 shot groups. Likely do better with target ammo.
Next outing I will try to get pictures.

Redneck, what cheekriser is that?

It's actually my own creative abortion.. Lol I took a strip of LVT flooring (laminate vynil tile) it's soft and flexible enough to work with but resilient so the screws don't tear out and the weight of my cheek on the stock won't push it down. I Folded it over the stock and screwed it on, 2 self tapping screws each side. Then covered up the ugliness with black Vet Wrap. Looks pretty good now. I also added a 22 shell holder, cut it from an old rifle shell belt with elastic loops. The scope arrived for it too. Ill post updated pictures later. She's all ready for the gopher patch!
