Savage MKII Pictures thread

Sorry. Just seen this reply. Take a hammer and a punch from the LEFT side (or the proper side as you call It lol) and give it one good smack towards the right side. It should then be off :) works every time. Ďont really think there's any other way to do it.

I put a comp on the end of mine, but there didn’t appear to be any felt difference and I don’t imagine a brake will provide much either. If it’s just for looks, maybe a faux suppressor? .22LR is quiet enough as it is, so it will look the part with a big fake can on the end.

Ya I'm not looking to reduce recoil on a .22lr lol just looking for something for a good look on the end. I have no idea where to look for one I've tried Google and a few sponsors.

That problem is finding anything that is the same diameter as your barrel. Most of it is .920" to fit 10/22 bull barrels and doesn't look that good on Savages (.800" IIRC) barrel IMO. I've been looking for a couple of years for a good looking Savage diameter brake with not much luck.

Where can I buy a Tacticool stock in Canada? I think Boyds are calling the new one the Pro Varmit, but I was wondering if there was a Canadian distributor.

I'm sure I've posted this a few times, but I absolutely love my MKII BTVS. It wears a nice Burris Fullfield II with Burris low rings. It eats everything I feed it, and she's a tack driver. It's also nice to know she's made in Canada.

I took the kids to the Savage factory in July, and while we were not allowed a tour ($%&#@), it was fun to see the factory. Apparently, they were running 24 hour shifts producing a variety of rifles for Walmart USA!

This has gotta be the nicest MarkII I've ever seen. The price is high but man she's a beauty.
