And why not? Because military members have agreed to the terms of "unlimited liability". This deal is a thank-you for all the people that can be lawfully ordered into harm's way, up to and including death.

Relax bubba, just kidding, irunguns has what i want at a great price, enjoy your rifle!

The Criminal Code classifies you as a peace officer, which was stated as the requirement earlier. Assuming you're PIC.
Thanks for looking it up, yes it's true we are when airborne and I am pic, but figured that would not count in this situation because we don't have firearms in the cockpit,, in this country,,yet!! They do in other countries including some in the U.S.
Cheers Bob
Hey DH Driver, does DH stand for Dehavilland?!

Relax, I was just asking......

Hey --

Merchant mariners get similar disounts and services as military folks from airlines and other businesses, so I thought it was worth asking. It's a great deal for exactly the rifle I am looking for. No need for exclamation marks and such.

My Dad was Merchant Marine, in the 40's and early fifties, carrying unknown cargo to Korea and elsewhere with basically no protection sitting ducks! If that's not in harms way nothing is and when he passed a letter of condolence was sent by the Navy! So I think for sure if a Merchant Mariner want one of these they should be permitted to!

Sure thing, just enter your service number on the order form and see what happens. I was visiting a friend last night who was in the PPCLI and said he tried to order one and couldn't. I thought this was open to retired members? No big deal, as a friend in my unit is willing to make the transaction on his behalf. I've already got mine :)

I think it was posted that retired members should be able to get this. Does he still have his service number?
