For those who are getting one of these what accessories are you getting for it. One muzzle brake, sight, etc are you planning to purchase to go with it. Also Post your pictures if you recieved it already.

Bipod for prone shooting. That's pretty much it. Doesn't need a muzzle brake, doesn't recoil enough to need one. Already have a scope and rings. Mine arrives tomorrow.

Vortex viper PST 6-24 x 50 , UTG medium quick detach rings,( changing to Burris Zee signature) DarkEagle 10rd mag and extended mag release, Caldwell bipod and a Kahntrol muzzle brake
Since the picture I have installed a TACPRO cheek rest.

Here's the Do-it-yourself TacPro cheek rest video (there's another photo of a TR that had one installed)

Very Nice, I'm getting the same optic and just need to decide on a set of rings.

Just a piece of advice on muzzle breaks. .308 doesn't need or benefit from them for recoil purposes. They also reflect a ton of sound back at you so it is less pleasant to shoot for your self and those near you. Some designs may offer the benefit of directing muzzle blast away from the ground in an effort to reduce dust signature that gives away firing positions. (If that sort of thing matters to you.) Personally I'd have my factory break removed if it didn't contain the front blade of the factory BUIS.

I believe most folks are using brakes on their 308 so that they can see their impact or maintain some sight picture after pulling the trigger, not so much as to reduce recoil.

I’m sort of new to shooting, so for a while there, I really had no idea what the difference between muzzle brakes, compensators and flash hiders were. I’d been shooting my AR with the standard A2 birdcage for a while, then my buddy let me try his AR and it felt completely different. The recoil on my AR never bothered me, I could shoot 3inch magnum slugs out of my 12.5in shotty all day and get a bit sore, but it wouldn’t be anything to moan about. But when I shot his AR, I was able to keep the red dot on target, or very close for a follow up shot and that was nice. I didn’t have trouble controlling recoil in my AR, but his was just that much easier with the brake on. With my scoped M14, I’d be looking at the next lane after a shot. The recoil didn’t bother me, but it would be nice to keep the sight picture on my own target instead of wondering if my round landed or not.

I’m going to throw a brake on mine as well, just to see if it will make a difference. I know they make a ton of noise for the lanes next to me, but it’s not like I’m blatting off thunder all day at the range, and I always ask my neighbors if they mind me letting off a few before I do it. The usual response is “it’s a *ucking gun range, make all the noise you want”. Besides, since we can’t have sound suppressors in Canada, may as well go the opposite way, haha!

Curseyou, I was wondering what you were shooting that came with a front BUIS blade sight on a muzzle brake? I’m really new to precision rifles and haven’t seen a lot of what’s out there.

I was told today that my rifle ships late this week, but I already have a Millet 6-14x50 TRS1 scope, and a set of 30mm Vortex rings to cradle it. It will be propped up by a Harris bipod and tamed by a TPI full size 3x3 port muzzle brake. I will order the big mag for it too, but will wait till the end of the month.
I cant wait to get 'er!

The rifle of mine I was refering to is Bruger and Thomet APR. A bit of an oddball rifle, but I do so enjoy it.

How do you find the quality of the millet sights?
