just picked up a savage model 11 chambered in .223 with a Bushnell scope, and i am not a big fan of it what would be worth while to upgrade to on it? as of now its probably going to be a coyote, raccoon and various other small game.
given what i have been reading I don't think i would use it on deer unless i start hand loading 100gr bullets but thats slim as i think i want to bow hunt deer.
i am a new hunter and relatively new to long guns is it worth the money for a click adjustment scope (smiler to a military style one with the big dials on the side vs the one that u have a cap for and turn a dial with no number value on it)
I haven't decided my price range but i dont think i want to go to a scope in the 1,000 range
