I am looking for a good entry level 338 LM rifle. I have read a lot of positive reviews on the Savage Model 110 FCP with HS Precision stock. For those that have any experience with the rifle, what are your views on it? Would you buy a different rifle instead? I guess I was looking for a reason NOT to buy it but I can't come up with one :D

I don't have too many rounds down range with mine yet but so far I'm quite happy with the rifle.
The only changes I have made, I've added a TacPro adjustable cheek rest and a slip on Limbsaver recoil pad to increase the length of pull. At some point I may change the muzzle break.

I had this very rifle you speak of. Amazingly accurate for the price. My reloads often got stuck in the chamber(Lapua brass) but factory ammo worked fine. I'd say that's my fault and not the rifle's fault.

My shooting buddy has one of these and I've put some rounds through it. It is a nice rifle for sure, the stock is good to go out of the box. Recoil is surprisingly mild. Had no issues with Hornady 250 grain BTHP factory ammo.
