Savage model 111 for long range ?

I realize reloading plays a big factor in shooting long range as I was saying I don't plan to see 1000+ yards for quite some
Time lots of practice to do before that I do plan to reload but for now if like to pick a caliber I can buy some factory ammunition untill I get my hands on the reloading gear I only have so

I hear that /\ ; then definitely go Savage, and probably .308 . Go to Mystics web site and read all of his informative articles, especially Building a Long Range Hunting Rifle on a Budget to get a handle on what you want to do and an understanding of what you can do. Then call Jerry, he's very good to deal with.
 
thanks ive been pming him and he has been very helpful most of the parts from my build with be coming from him except maybe the stock imay have found one used thats already inletted to use my detachable mag which was one of my main concerns also thanks again for all the great input guys appreciate it very much !
