Savage model 111 in 300WM - control feed?

which savage models are control feed as opposed to push feed? Is their cheap-o model 111 control feed?

No definite answer. The 300 Win Mags are push feed, I doubt any were CRF, the wsm and rums were mainly CRF but certainly not all.

I've never seen a CRF Savage...

None of the Savages (110 and family) are controlled round feed, only Mauser types, model 70, Ruger, etc.

Modern versions of the CRF allow the extractor to jump over the rim of the case when the round is already chambered, the old Mausers did not. These new systems are called controlled round push feed, some call them CRF.
