Christmas morning i was lucky enough to open up a savage model 11VT 24'' heavy barrel chambered in .308! My girlfriend has known that i wanted to get my feet wet with some long range shooting so this was her gift to me. Originally i was going to buy a model 12 on boxing day but now i have this. Does anyone have any feedback regarding this rifle? I will be replacing the stock with a boyds stock first and a scope after. the factory bushnell 4-12 doesn't look that bad but its not a bdc reticle. Any suggestions or input would be much appreciated.
