Anyone with feedback or comments of the Savage Model 12 LRPV Dual port in 6mm BR (SKU 18622)?

I am going 6mm BR (not negotiable) but undecided on the rifle itself. I read pretty good reviews on Savage Model 12 but have not met or talked to any actual owners.

Intended uses are a) vaporize varmints and b) 300-500 yards precision shooting - for fun, not competitively.

Thanking you in advance

Buy one...you won't regret it.
The LRPV series has to be the most accurate, out of the box, series of rifles made.
Mine has the 1/12 twist, and shoots bugholes with Nosler BT or Berger 80 grain bullets.
Some people say the two ports 'weaken' the receiver, but they sure don't affect the accuracy!
You also have the option of 'spin on' aftermarket Shilen barrels in alternate lengths and twists which also work very well.

That's in line with what i have read. Availability seems to be problematic, not too many of them floating around. My dealer has one bench rest model in stock (# 18614) and tells me it could be months to get what I want. Could compromise with it but I'd like more history on this shooter prior to cough the pesos. Cheers.
