Savage Model 14 American Classic

I think Savage has outdone themselves with this one. Fit is very good, finish is a nicely done polished bright blue and they have picked some very nice figured wood for these guns. The removable magazine is also bright blue finished and fite into the mag well snugly. The price is in the reasonable under $700.00 range.

sssssss

I just sold my savage american classic to madtrapper, he loves it and wants another, it was a beautiful gun, i hear savage is really coming out with some show stoppers this year, wait and see, savage seems to be on a roll, great accurate very nice looking guns

The 'new' Savage is really coming along as a company. The model 12 series has been a tremendous comercial success, the Accutrigger has been received well, the Stevens line is awesome, and I really like to looks of the 14 line. I hope they consider re-introduding the '99 sometime down the road as well

The Savage American Classic will hold its own with any bolt action sporter including high dollar Kimbers and Sakos. Owners of these expensive guns will argue that their rifles are better but the Savage will out shoot them any day of the week. Good looking, reliable, accurate and half the price of the next closest competitor. I really like the new magazine design. Get one you won't regret it.

cheers Darryl

Savage trounces Remington!

It has been my experience that Savage continues to excel in firearms while the stalwarts, like Remington, continue a slow slide south.
I just hope they return the 99 in the near future.
Come into the fold my son, you won't be disappointed!

My 114 is a shooter for sure...
Bought it for my dad last year (pre accutrigger)
The best part, is it wasnt much more than a stevens 200, and it was still in the box :dancingbanana:
