So in cleaning out old fire arms I came across my great grandfathers savage model 1921
Its in really rough shape, and talking with my dad it hasnt been fired it probably 50 years. He thinks its from the mid 30's
He let his PAL expire, and says he is waiting for the police to have one of the firearm disposal days because we dont have the skills or knowledge to ensure its safe to fire. If it really is a 80 year old firearm, and not fired for the last 30 I wouldnt want to shoot it without having it looked at
and with that comes the fact that there are no gun smiths in the area.
So what I am wondering is if its worth selling or just wait to dispose of it.
The action works well, and bore dosent look to bad. It has "Full" stamped on it, wood is rough, metal bits all have rust on them
Thanks
