Afternoon folks!

I have one of the unicorn Model 24's it seems. The do anything hunting rifle.

Anyways, its new to me. Any one know if the choke on it is changable ? It kind of looks like it but I would need a tool I think.

Nice. 30-30/12 ga. is a deadly combination.

I have a 30-30/20ga. I haven't shot it much - yet. When I first got it from a fellow CGN'r, I made a post about it. According to a couple of guys who were pushing each other out of the way to tell me, these guns are terrible. I don't have any slugs to see how well the barrels are regulated, but I did fire a few 30-30 rounds. Worked just fine for those rounds. If I was to have a 30-30/12 or 20ga., I would likely be satisfied using shot or buck.

In the late 80's savage made the 24f Predator (12 ga/30-30) in some cases with screw in chokes, and a synthetic stock, not the 24v in your title. Apparently, they used the winchoke system.

You'll need a choke wrench to change it out. Just measure the opening with a Vernier caliper to find out what you have.

I've used it this year. The .12ga runs well and has taken a few grouse. And the 30-30 sighted in well, but alas no deer yet. I did get one in Oct with my ML though.

So far I love it. But it is heavy.

Interesting! Thank. I will check that out.
