savage model 40

Never shot one. For a while I REALLY wanted one, as savages are real shooters, in the other models.
No one could get one in, in any reasonable amount of time in accutrigger. So I bought a ruger 77/22H, did a trigger job, and haven't looked back. Well, no, I look back all the time. I REALLY want to try a 40 - might even buy one to try, and then make the hard choice of which to keep.
But it's a great cartridge, made by a manufacturer known to produce accurate shooting guns, with the always-nice accutrigger, for a good price. What's not to like?

there was one for sale a week or so back on the firearm exchange.
I just bought a hornet a few weeks ago and went shooting gophers yesterday I was using 35gr vmax with som h4227 it blows them up pretty good I was impressed it is pretty accurate to took a few at about 150 yds and it did a good number on them those model 40 are very nice wouldn't mind having one myself.
