Savage Model 42

This gun kinda has two calibers, so I figured I'll post it here, since it made logistical sense to me.

Anybody try the Savage Model 42? Seems to be an interesting concept, especially for small game hunters.

And for people who have no clue what I'm talking about, I provide some Savage goodness:

If they came out with a 20 gauge version I'd be smitten. I had a 24 c in .22 lr over 20 gauge and wish I hadn't got rid of it. .410 does not interest me that much. The rounds are pricey, and not always that easy to find.

From what I've read the 22lr/410 was the first iteration followed by the 22mag/20 gauge

410 is readily available here....even walmart and ct seem to always have it.

i own two of the older Savage 24 models. Love em. This new one i will probably end up getting, i held it and what i noticed was it is VERY light in comparison.
