I picked this one up yesterday.

It's a 73C60XX so I think it's a 1943.

She's a mismatch, the bolt cocking piece is a Singer and the serial on it has a G in it. Wood appears to be Savage but is unmarked. Top front hand guard metal is CCM, front band is Savage, magazine is Savage but mismatched.
2 groove barrel, with no discernible markings.

Rear site is P in a circle and a B. Trigger group is Savage marked.

Proper ZAMAK butt plate.

She needs a little TLC as the wood is dry, and a little loose.

Very nice wood on that. I like the Savage No. 4's, I'm keeping an eye out for a good one.

I was pleasantly surprised by the condition of the wood on this one. It has one ding, which you can see in the second pic and a very light scratch on the other side, about 2 inches long. The fore stock is chipped at the receiver ring in the second pic.

Other than my No4 Mk2, this one has the cleanest wood in my collection.

And the blondest.

Here is a picture with a 1950 Fazakerly No4 Mk2 above the Savage.
