Savage Precison Carbine .308 Initial Range Results

nice rig !, i had to buy an other savage it will be this on ;) atm am building an savage 12 .308 win, with a 22 inches shilen barrel...cant wait to get it to the range...but still missing parts

extremely nice. I want that rifle !
maybe with a Leupold Canadian VX-II with the custom 308 BDC turrets... i think this would be a fun and simple setup for both hunting and target shootin'

Couldn't resist... I just bought mine from Frontier. With the millet base, Leupold PRW rings, Leupold Canadian VX-II 4-12x50mm scope+BDC turrets. Can't wait to try it out !
Now, for hi-cap mags: do they exist? any place we can order them ?

SharpShooterSupply makes a hi-cap. Dunno if they are shipping north again yet though.

Good ghooting. I would like to see a ten shot or a few 4 shot groups just to see the consistency. Bedding is a good idea too.

Another PC

Just picked up a PC from Wanstalls today. I like the balance, easy mag release, bolt handle. Going to try some 155gr.Sierra Palmas tomorrow. Easy dealing with the people at Wanstalls. They matched the price($829) that Frontier sells them for.

I'm glad more people are starting to buy the PC's they are great guns, I know I love mine but the only thing I wish it had was an adjustable cheek rest... that's a easy fix though.

Here are three targets, using Sierra 155gr. Palmas. Brass was Win., BR#2 primers. Four shot groups at 100 meters, on two targets. The center target I fired 2 mags, rapid fire. Seven in a ragged hole, my last shot dropped down. The two rifles pictured are Savage PC, and Remington LTR. The latter picture is for those who are suffering from Remington withdrawl symptoms! I'am satisfied with the first reloads, using the Savage PC.NOTE During disassembly 0f the PC, A small washer fell out, this washer is not shown on the diagram, but reading the booklet, they explained where its location is, and mentioned that it was omitted from the diagram.

Nice shooting. I am looking to sell off my Springfield M1A1 and buy a precision target rifle in the near future, had not really considered Savage till recently, majority of people I know promote Remington. I was also looking at Weatherby,

Well you sure got my attention with that 200 Yrd group. Is that a 26" barrel.

Nice set up dude. Iam going the same direction. Have a Sav 10pc on order, and already have a falcon menace and TPS base and rings waiting for it. Ill probably be using Genesse range as well. But I am going to have to use factory match. Not set up for reloading yet.
