I picked up a Savage P/H Max1 in 22-250 last year and absolutely love it......except for the Butt plate/recoil pad. It is a very soft, almost gel like material that tends to hook on my clothing when drawing it into my shoulder. I'm sure I would appreciate the recoil reduction properties if the gun was a bigger caliber but it is not required for the .22. Anyone know of a solid plate replacement for this girl and where I could get one?
