Savage Question - Mag to Floorplate?

Hey folks, browsing the internet and cannot find anything. I have a Savage Predator Max 1 in 243 - a fantastic shooter. The only issue I have with the rifle are those damned magazines!

Does anyone know if there is a conversion kit to convert from the mag to the floorplate? I really don't want to go the route of selling her for another as it shoots so well, but I really hate that magazine system. Any info will be greatly appreciated.
 
Most people go the other way (I actually just converted a long action to DBM). You need to contact Savage and order the hinged floor plate bottom metal from them. They are usually pretty good. You can either take your mag apart and use it as the internal box, or alternatively I'm sure you could order that from savage as well.

Then I would suggest you put your DMB bottom metal onto the EE and someone looking to convert a centre feed stevens could use this to update their rifle.
 
I was thinking the same. Savage does a lot of things poorly but their magazines are top notch in my mind. Some people have these weird issue of forgetting and losing mags. Personally for hunting they are the greatest thing in the world.

Agreed. I took my Savage 99 out for deer last year truck hunting. (I know, but I was having issues with my ankle, lol) A joy to carry and maneuver, but a detachable mag would've been nice...

That's funny. The only rifle I own that doesn't have a DBM is my 99. The rotary mag is uber cool but unloading it when getting in and out of the truck, etc.... is a pain is the arse.
