Savage question?

Is there a difference in the quality between the Savage 10FP & the 12FV models other then stocks? I have decided to bypass the H-S Precision & McMillan stocks on the 10FP do to it not being available in the .223 cal & I'm just going to order a custom stock or even get BC stock. Now I'm tossed between matte & blued finish. which will last longer?

Now to my main question has anyone compared the police model 10FP to the varmint model 12FV when it comes to shooting / grouping, trigger & overall function?

If you find any shops in Canada that have .223 12FV's in stock let me know haha, I wasn't able to find any. Mine is on back-order from the states...
