So, while as Cabelas waiting for my Eley ammo to come up front, I was just tire kicking a couple of rimfire rifles. Then it happened. I always wanted to see or handle a Savage Rascal. So, I ask the guy if they had any and could I see one. He takes a step over, picks up this gun and hands it to me. I look at it and laugh. The stock is tiny, and well, the whole thing is very small. So I had to ask if this was a 'salesman sample', to which he says, nope that is the actual rifle! Damn did I get a good chuckle. So, I now see why some carry these as a truck or backpack gun. So, I will be saving up my change and watching for a good sale and my just pick one up. If I do, it will be the cheapest one there is just for fun. I have to say though, teh sights do look very nice though, probably worth as much or more than the rest of it.

They are perfect for new shooters as well, especially smaller children due to their size. They are single shot, so a bulk pack last a while at the range. The sights are decent for the gun. I really don't have any complaints about it, it serves its role well. I enjoy shooting them.

I have one for working the trap line..... light to carry, keeps my hands free and the blaze orange stock makes it easy to find if I put it down.... kids love it too...

I picked one up for my little guy last year. Painted the stock, and threw an EGW rail and a cheap 4x scope on it for him. He loves it, and i'm hoping that this year he bags his first grouse with it.

I had to have one too! I bought it when my boy was 2. Hes 4 now and it will come out when its just the family after his next birthday. Yes it is very cute and TINY! I test fired it and its very accurate but i found hard to shoot due to its size. Will make for a fun project putting a proper lenght stock on it when he outgrows it.

I agree with the op that the rascal feels ridiculously small but...they are fantastic for kids and are a decent grouse gun as they will fit in a quad box. Had one until my son graduated to the 10/22.

I have a pink one for my daughters (4 and 6) and they love shooting CCI quiets out of it. Really good way for the kids to get into shooting. My nieces love it too. I enjoy shooting it as well. I like the peep sight, easy to point, super light, and the accutrigger is enjoyable. Its been a great investment.

I also have a pink one, it was the only one I could find at the time. I put some hello kitty and barbi sticker's on it. Also put a pink sling on it. I leave it on the dash while hunting and everyone think's it a toy

i have one, blue, my girls hate pink so works for me haha, i used to take it in the truck all the time for grouse till they laid the law down, its theirs, not mine, so i got a chiappa little badger in 22lr, my new fav second to the rascal, i got the rascal bases and put a fixed power scorpion scope on it, perfect for the little ones :)

Have a pink, then a black, too bad they don’t have purple for my 3rd. Might have to hunt around for a muddy girl camo one.

I think they had one in stock here at Cabelas Winnipeg. There was something at the back of the group of Rascals that looked to be some sort of pinkish camoflauge.
