Hello all, I have just purchase my daughter a rascal 22lr youth rifle. Start teaching her firearm safety and shooting young. Only issue she had a very hard time with the peep sight, I know I can get the mounts and rings at Cabela's (closes hunting store where I'm at) but don't really want to break the bank, anyone know of maybe a full one piece rail and a very cheap scope and ring set up? Now obviously I am shooting small game with her rifle when she's not around. Looking at a few options for myself but love shooting that little gun and want to show her consistent shooting with an easier sight than the peep one. Would like to stay a round the 80$ mark for the hole thing done and over. Haven't found much for cheap don't need a fancy scope gonna always be under 50 yards and that's even pushing what were gonna be doing.

Tasco will fit the bill. I had a 22lr fitted with one and it was accurate enough for plinking/hunting.

I will suggest a red dot for your daughter if you dont want to start her on the peep sights right away.
 
I looked for an hour yesterday and after the post found a cheap little scope with rings for 20$ at Canadian tire, hoping those will fit on the rascal weaver base set and we would be set up for like 50$ and its the same brand your talking about. Thank you very much
 
The $20 scope from Canadian Tire will last for a couple shots. A buddy of mine bought one, very proud of himself, telling me about his great deal. He was thoroughly disappointed after 2 or 3 shots. I think they are intended for air rifles.

I picked up an inexpensive 4X Simmons from Cabelas for my son's Rascal. Great little scope. I ended up buying another for my bush gun. Very clear, holds a zero.
 
Found a 40$ scope and got a set of mounts and rings locktite everything down and should be good to go, gonna try it out to zero in today and catch me some squirrels hoping it wasn't a waste but should be perfect from what I've read up on. Let's hope it all goes well and wasn't a waste lol
