Dominion Outdoors sent this my way... thank you very much!
Great guys didn't have any in stock, but they found one for me.
Will try and get to the range this weekend, if posable.
Guess some store show stock now.
Might be the very last lever made in Canada !!

We picked one up about a month ago and my wife really likes it. Haven't put a lot of rounds through it yet but it is a good handling rifle that has been fun to shoot.

The wood model looks the nicest for sure!

A 3/8 dovetail on top would not have detracted to much, maybe cut down the rounded contour a bit but would look just fine.... beyond scopes it would allow red dots and peep sights to easily be used. As I recal this one does not come with a rail but is drilled and tapped for one.... hey savage, just put a chunk of CNC machined aluminum rail in the box along with a few screws! :)

What would suite this rifle to my eyes is a short section of rail ( or an RMR plate mount)where the rear sight is for a barrel mounted red dot, and then a Savage made adjustable peep site on the back of the receiver.

I have a 9422 set up with a fibre optic front bead and an NECG rimfire grooved peep sight on the back of the 3/8 dovetail that is nice to shoot that said, I don't mind shooting traditional lever action iron sights, specially the buckhorn's that some seem to dislike.

How are the stock iron sights on this one?

(edit)Looking at the picture of the rail mount screws, I wonder if the distance of the first 2 holes matches any existing peeps that Skinner makes?

That's nice. I like the embelishment on the stock. It adds some contrast to the otherwise very plain looking receiver. Balances it out nicely. I'd like one. No idea what I'd do with another 22, but I've never let that stop me. I'm "collecting".

You’ll change your tune when you get older. It’s either sell the rifle or adapt
It's a fact eyesight deteriates with age, it's also a fact that modern science has been able to crush optic nerves in rats and then re-grow them with stem cells for a few years now..... it's possible that in the near future everyone will have optimal or near optimal eye sight for much longer then we do now.... :)

Older than what... I'm blind as a bat now... without glasses... doesn't mean I'll put a scope on a lever, nor sell any of my levers for that matter.
To each their own. (y)

Those DLX models look real good IMO.

Looks like the rear sight is dovetailed in place? Someone needs to make a peep sight to slide in there...

Skinner makes dovetail barrel mount peeps.

I just noticed Skinner is making a standard hole pattern (.860" center to center) sight that might work depending on the hole to hole spacing on the revel.

Nice thanks for sharing.

The 860 sight looks like it'll be too high for the Revel though even if it does fit?... plus being a takedown means you'll probably get more consistency with a barrel mounted one?

Either way, nice to have options.

Usually a taller front sight is needed when going to receiver mounted peeps and sometimes even for the barrel mounts.

Takedown won't be an issue for a receiver mounted optic or sight on the Revel,
