Savage rifle 223 predator hunter

Has anyone taken the factory installed scope off the rifle. It's s Simmons . I 'm thinking of addin6 a BUSHNELL 6500 50mm up to 16 power. The predator hunter has a good looking medium heavy barrel in snow camo. With the accutrigger.

I haven`t looked at the predator package but have replaced many others from the Savage packages. My gut says try it but be prepared to replace, the Bushnell you mention has a good following.

The Simmons will get you by fine for a season or two if you are on a budget. It will sh*t the bed at the worst time..
