Savage Rimfire TR's

Well Im really considering picking one of these up for ####s and giggles. The local store can bring them in for about $530 plus taxes for either the .22LR or the .17HMR versions.

Anyone here own one and want to give a review?

I own a Mark II "G" and love it, amazingly accurate for iron sites and a hunting barrel but it's my "grouse gun". Looking for something to plink with though with a decent scope on it

I've got the 93R17 TRR. I like it. At 50 yds it shoots the same holes. At 100 it widened to 1.5", but I think that's my fault, not the gun's.

The TR or TRR is the same gun with a different stock and for the TRR a rail added.

Yup knew that from looking at the website. I don't like the looks of the rails though on the TRR

Here's a question:

On the Savage website the TR's are shown with an oversized bolt knob. In the latest Cabela's catalog the TR is show with a regular sized bolt knob.

So which one is it?

The TR's are pictured with a small bolt knob, but all TR's do come with the large tactical style knob.
