Savage Stevens 200 Bolt Replacement

I recently acquired a decent Savage Stevens 200 in .223 that the owner lost the bolt. Does anyone sell complete bolts, or can anyone order me one? Savage has informed me that they don't sell that part, and that it would need to be sent to the factory to have a bolt refitted. This seems excessive for something that takes a gauge, a wrench, a vise, and 10 minutes of time.
