Good day to all CGN'ers,

Last fall I purchased a Savage/Stevens model 93 in .22WMR with accutrigger, I use this rifle primarily on my trapline for shooting beavers at medium range (75-100yds) and up to this point I have done just fine with the iron sights. The problem I have tun into is that my local "gun shop" cannot get the proper bases for a scope mount as seemed rather unwilling to help me in any way shape or form. I am wondering if anyone could tell me what the proper base set is so I can just order a set and mount my damn scope. I think they are a weaver 16 or maybe a weaver 24 thoughts?

Thanks to everyone out there and happy shooting,
--Dan

Personally, I'd call Savage...ask them what you need for the job, and order directly from them. As an alternative, a shop that does Savage's warranty work (Grech Outdoors in Mount Forest) might know what you need, and also have it in stock.

and here lies the other problem as I cannot just go to a shop as I live in a remote community in northern ontario (let's just say its about 4 hours northwest of Thunder Bay) :S Our local "gun shop" is also a bicycle, hockey, fishing, everything store :( so getting specific parts for rifles can be a bit of a hassle
