Savage still not ejecting!

I called savage and they were kind enough to send me a new extractor spring and ball which I installed, it seemed to work for a bit I guess but now it is dropping the shells before they get pulled back enough to kick out!! So annoying!!
Any ideas?
 
I forget which size ball bearing to use, do some googling, it's there.
But many people put a larger ball bearing under the extractor. I put on in one of my older guns that I sold. It definitely made a difference. It takes some of the free play the extractor has out which should produce a better grip on the case.
 
Pull your bolt and see how much of the rim is being grabbed by the extractor, it's either too short or only partially grabbing.

You may need to remove the ejector to properly test the the extractor.

Does the extractor move freely in its groove?
 
I had the same issue with one of my Savages not wanting to extract. I removed the extractor and lightly rubbed the angled portion on a fine wet stone, basically a light polish, and that solved the problem.
 
i had mine extracting, but not ejecting. The ejector spring was worn out. I ordered parts straight from savage USA for a whopping total of 8 dollars (over the phone) I changed my extractor and ejector springs and it solved the problem immediately. I had them at my door within 3 days
