Savage stock

Ahh, ####. A stock is ITAR isn't it? Dammit. There goes that plan.

If the stock lists for $100, and Boyds will ship it to Canada, then you can bring it up from the US yourself. Boyds doesn't have export permits, they go on dollar value. I was able to get a stock shipped from them at $100, but my Garand stock they would not ship, as it was $110, if memory serves.

The limit has been raised to $500 recently. I've got two and like them.

I just received mine, beautiful stock well worth the money.
The stock is $99 the $51 shipping and handling charge includes $31 actual shipping
PLUS your HST $14 plus Canadian duty $6 Boyds prepay the taxes so it doesn't get held up in customs.
If you bought the stock here you will still pay the Canadian taxes,
So broken down like that it's not a bad deal at all. Your local gun smith will charge $300
For a stock that may not be as nice.

Someone should start a thread for the purpose of splitting shipping costs on Boyd's stocks. This seems to come up a lot, and with the new $500 limit, it should be possible bring in multiple stocks for significant savings.

Or am I missing something?

I bought 2, only costs$3 for 2 stocks compared to one for shipping price, after conversion for 2 i was in $277, plus $30 from canada post when i picked it up.

Unless people are like me, and can't help but selecting the custom options which push the stock to $350+ in no time flat!

Well not committing and waiting has cost me. The pepper laminate was in stock when I looked last. Tonight, it's not anymore. So I should've ordered and didn't and now I'm kicking myself. I ordered tonight and will probably wait a month at least before I get it now. Dammit.

CC was charged $173.54, hopefully the ######s at CBSA don't have to "inspect" it and charge me.

Tis true. Order a couple of items from Boyd's to save on the shipping hit. I just ordered a finished upper handguard for an M1 carbine.....$20.oo for the part....$44.oo shipping! But hey, when ya gotta have...ya gotta pay if ya can't find one in country.

Thanks Obamy & fellow turds!

I received my Forest Camo Boyd's stock for my Axis .223 yesterday, and of course, I got charged by customs for Duty (which I thought didn't apply since the product was made in the US) and a $10 handling fee (which is odd because they didn't even open the package).

I mounted the receiver in it and when I tighten it down, it's not centered in the channel. Anybody else come across this?
