Savage tactical

Just acquired a lightly used Savage tactical in 223. My dealer gave me a half dozen rounds loaded with 40 gr accutips over 27 grains of H335. I also have about 600 rounds left over from hipower competition loaded with 69 gr Sierras over 25 gr of IMR 4895. Does anyone here have a favorite load for this rifle? I will be mostly using it on whistle pigs and ground squirrels.

Every rifle is different. Find a load that YOUR rifle likes.

Just because John Doe's rifle shoots bug hole with a certain load does not mean yours will.
223 is not a hard cartridge to make work. Lots of info out there on powder and bullet combos that work well but may have to be tweaked.

Not helpful! I am aware of the fact that all rifles are different. Now, does anyone ELSE have any favorite loads for this particular rifle model.

Find out the best weight for the twist it has, buy some quality bullets and try out different powders. That is the only way to found out what you gun likes best.
