"...as good as...?" Well, depends what you want out of the rifle. The Accutrigger is a great feature, IMO, and I'd probably pass on the Stevens for that reason. However, if an adjustable trigger is not that important to you, then I wouldn't hesitate to go with the Stevens. Accuracy on these rifles seems to be highly dependent on the particular barrel, and you'll have no way of knowing that until you shoot it. As for fit and finish, I'd agree that the finish on the Savages is generally better, but that's not always the case (I've seen some pretty roughly finished Savages). If you're not in a rush, the 93 will turn up. If you want to start shooting now, I'd say try the Stevens.
