Savage warranty

A few questions.

I purchased a savage .17hmr from LeBarron's less than a year ago on sale. The cheapest model savage makes 93r17 I think

Anyways, my closest dealer is epps (the vast majority of my business goes there). Will they send in warranty items to savage even though it was not purchased there?

It needs to go back due to frequent FTF, FTE, and it has split a few cases...

Oh, and I forgot to fill out the warranty card when I bought it...

What ammo are you using in it? I know with mine if i use winchester ammo there are a ton on fte, a few ftf, and lots of split cases. None of this happens with any other ammo

I didn't really feel like going 3 hours out of my way to LeBarron's when epps is also a savage dealer an hour away.

Also, I tried all sorts of ammo, Winchester, cci, hornady, etc. Only brand I didn't try was Remington.

Case splits should not be happening in a safe firearm IMO
