Just got into the world of larger calibre rifles for hunting and after a trip to Elwood Epps I came back with a possibly impulsive buy. It's a Savage 16FLSS .308 (left hand bolt) in excellent condition aside from a few scratches on the plastic stock (rifle is new so should I assume it is a accu-stock?). It has a chromed barrel with the rifling looking almost untouched, Savage emblem on the bolt is slightly faded in a high wear part.
Already installed was a Bushnell Elite 3200 3-9x40 scope on Burris mounts and rings (guy in the shop said the mount and rings were of high quality).
Scope also came with Butler Creek flip up dust covers. I bought all of this for $593 after the gentleman at the counter knocked off $25.
Was it a good deal or was I too impulsive? I came looking for another rifle listed on the site but wasn't really satisfied by it so this was the next rifle handed to me.
