I see that Savage now lists their stainless/synthetic in .250 Savage. According to their chart, they've gone back to the 1:14 twist rate. Any ideas why they would do that?
I really wanted one of these rifles, but with a detach mag. I had great luck with my 1:14-twist 1899; a true MOA rifle with cup'n'core 100 grainers, but I was hoping for something that would shoot 100 Partitions or maybe the 110 Accubond, and I don't have a lot of faith in the 1:14 twist to do that. Thoughts?

Here's the rifle. It's available in .300 Savage too......
You know all those "first rifle" threads we get? Now I can recommend the .250 knowing folks can go out and buy one!!

I have been told that this is a misprint and it is actually 1:10. Another fellow called the office and was told this. It still hasn't been corrected on the web site and this was about a week ago.

Thanks for the info!
So it's actually 1:10? I hope I hope I hope!
Well that's it....I have to call my dealer and see about a detach-mag stainless .250 Savage. Price looks reasonable. Should make a great all-weather deer/varmint/grizzly rifle. Okay, maybe not grizzly.
