Its cap and ball still has the ramrod the stock has been repaired ............
I was thinking of giving it to my pa as a wall hanger.

any other ideas?

I couldn't let it suffer the fate of the ottawa amnesty.

Hard to tell for sure, but it looks like it has nice figure in its wood. If it were me, I'd refinish the wood, do what I can with the metal, and use it as a very nice wall hanger.

Good for you. Nice to save just one. I'm in Ottawa too, and when I read last week about the Ottawa amnesty going on again this year, I just thought about all the nice old guns that would be lost forever. Damned shame.

Also, what Kirk said. Nice grain. Clean it up and find a nice spot on the wall for it!
