Dave, start putting the scratch grain out through the winter and spring... their bellies will bring them over...
My buddy has a property that there have never really been turkeys on, but there are some a few concessions over... He started laying the scratchgrain, and corn to them this fall (late) and he's got 7 birds at his place every morning now.
Being a new turkey hunter, we've got him pointed in the right direction. Im going to go out on thursday morning (second day of the season) and try to get him a bird.
Sometimes its as simple as catering to their belly...

is this like baiting???oh myyyyyy gawdddd..do tell more...as daves camp and our ,s is like a half hour drive apart

As in chicken grain? How do you decide on where to broadcast it? We have the odd bird but in all the locations i've seen sign, It's quite a distance apart. So I guess try to track down some sign, or better yet a sighting. Then start there?
