Sawing off a shot gun

Yep, but don't use a saw to cut the barrels. Use a pipe cutter then file off the burrs. Muzzle needs to be flat and square with the barrel.
Don't cut the butt stock off either. A shotgun with no stock is the most useless thing on Earth.

Hey is this legal? as long as it's still over 26 inches? I have 2 Single shots and thought it might be cool.

The barrel has the be over 18". Factory barrels can be shorter, but mortals are not allowed to cut them shorter than 18"

Look for a Dominion Arms Backpacker or Outlaw if you want a short barreled single or side by side.

But Schwarzenegger makes it look so bad a$$

Keep the OAL over 26 inches

18'' barrel and over for all pumps, singles, bolts (manual action)

18.5'' barrel and over for all semis

It is not legal to cut your shotgun (or any other) barrel. Only a gunsmith can do it, and even that must only be to repair damage to the muzzle.
You can have a factory made barrel installed in that length.

WRONG.

No-one can cut a barrel under 18" (include a gunsmith). Barrels under 18"must be manufactured at the length they will be used at.

Anyone can cut a barrel down to the minimum non-prohibited (18") length. To suggest otherwise is to suggest that many members of this site have broken the law.

The Criminal Code defines the following firearms as prohibited:

rifles and shotguns that have been altered so that their barrel length is less than 457 mm (about 18 inches) or their overall length is less than 660 mm (about 26 inches)

So ya, misinformation, go nuts with altering it, I did a single shot. Kept the barrel at 19 inches and my OAL is around 28. Painted it up all camo, pretty neat looking, but useless, but sometimes it's fun to experiment.

Check your certificate....mine says 470 mm or greater...after I cut my barrel on my single shot 12 gauge to 18.25 in I called it in to be safe and was told I didnt have to call them as that is the shortest certificate they issue anyways...So I would answer no..but check your certificate
