Well, it's been a little over 4 months in the making now , but this week I was finally able to bring her home! Ladies and Gentlemen, say hello to the latest addition to my happy little family.....:)

A little more about her:

- Armalite AR-10A forged 7071 upper/lower
- Krieger 1:10 .936" heavy target barrel in .308 WIN (special thanks to ABHobbiest for sourcing this for me)
- Armalite adjustable tactical trigger group @ 3.5lbs
- Armalite lower parts kit, stock, buffer kit etc.
- Custom painted Armalite quad rail, freefloating handguard
- GG&G folding standard front & adjustable rear apeture sights
- Harris standard bipod

A special shout out to Rob Brown and Ryan at Wolverine Supplies for helping to make this project possible, you guys were a ton of help and I'd recommend you to anyone! I'll still be looking for a FFP optic in the new year to turn this baby into a real long range tack driver (once things start warming up :p) so any recommendations in the $1-2K range are appreciated!

I'll hopefully be test shooting the build this weekend with varying different match loads and will post my groups in this thread for those parties interested in iron sight results for the AR-10 platform.

More pics to follow too since these pics were taken in haste using my phone camera!

Nice rig.
Question, where do the recoil gases vent? Seems like a closed system, or maybe they all go out the barrel???
Maybe the silencer has something to do with just wondering.
Congrats on a good job.
Cheers

Pretty sure that's a target barrel and not a silencer (suppressor).

VERY nice setup by the way! I like how clean it looks with just the iron sights.

Thanks everyone!

@ Ginco, it's definitely not a suppressor (although one can dream since the recoil impulse/flash from the target crown is pretty crazy :p) it's just a very heavy target barrel (.936" diameter). All gases are vented through the low profile gas block and back through the system to make the rifle function.

@ Silverfoxdj, I actually hope to use this next season at ORA, mostly to prove a point. No one uses one in precision (that I know at least) so I plan on using it and be "that guy".....lol. I figure you only live once so why not enjoy it! As is, I'm getting sub MOA groups with irons fairly easily.

Although, it peels the crap out of the 100m gong at my local range too ;)
