SBE shoot wet or dry -- winter

Should I shoot my Super Black Eagle wet(oiled) or dry -- winter or summer???

Go online to the Benelli site and look at their video on cleaning and maintenance. It shows exactly what needs lube and what doesnt. Many times lube in places its not required becomes a major cause of malfunctions.

Just shoot it....
They are designed to run dirty, clean and everything in between.

I use a light film of synthetic oil on all surfaces, where there is metal to metal contact.

Hickok45 would just spray and soak the whole gun in Ballistol .... and it seems to work!

There are reports though that suggest that Ballistol gums up a -40C.

I run mine with very very light oil, just past dry.
I find they like to run closer to dry then the other way…

Too much oil can turn into a sludgy mess when the temperatures really drop. So I prefer running my with a light coating of oil.
