SBE2 or SBE3

What's the main difference between the two and which one in your opinion is the better gun, is it really worth the extra coin for the new sbe3?
 
Mostly cosmetic/marketing, SBE3 has redesigned loading port/gate and a slimmer forend but considering the discounts that will be applied to the SBE2 in preparation for this model I'd consider it to be the better choice. Benellis are great guns, I love mine but they are ridiculously over priced for what you get. If you've never owned one do yourself a favour and buy one used or on sale, that way when the novelty wears off you'll be glad you didn't get suckered into full price.

Also, SBE2's have been around for a while and are proven, SBE3's might need some time to get the kinks out, don't be the early adopter helping them with those kinks.

I read on another forum that the SBE3 has a redesigned bolt that reduces/eliminates any risk of "Benelli Click" which can happen when the bolt is not fully closed, or something like that. To be honest I'm not sure I understood the problem fully. Maybe someone else could explain it. It has never happened on my SBE2. I wish my SBE2 had a bigger release button like the SBE3.
 
The "Benelli Click" happens when the bolt comes out of battery (read isn't fully forward). It can happen to all inertia driven guns if the bolt is eased forward. The new bolt design has a ball detent in the bolt to hold the bolt head forward and locked in place.
