SBR Question

I'm building a 12.5" sbr ar-15 and been trying figure something out . If I add a troy claymore which is 2.25" oal or a noveske kx5 that is 3.25" oal to the 12.5" barrel will it act as an extension of the barrel ? So in sense would 14-16" barrel appose to a 12.5" ? Would velocity or distance be increased because of the

no, only an uninterrupted barrel length counts

The muzzle device does not engage the bullet so there would be no increase in velocity.

The barrel length will only change if the muzzle device is permanently attached, by means of pinning and welding...at least I think this is the case. Someone please chime in...
