Scabbard Shredding Breecher - quick fix.

Until such a time that somebody starts making a boot to put on the stand off device, cut the top off a smaller plastic pill bottle, like aspirin or advil, something close in size to the muzzle end, tie a length of gutted para cord to it, this should be long enough that the free end hangs out the opening of scabbard, place on end of muzzle ,push in to scabbard, again,the para cord needs to be long enough to pull the bottle out later as most scabbards can be tight and tend to hold the bottle when removing shotgun.

Most likely, most of the ones I've seen have been a nylon type lining, just what's locally mind you ,and most of the cheaper one's are fabric lined ,so this is just a quick fix.

I cut a piece of cloth and held it in place with a elastic band

I know where you are coming from, I recently had to repair a leather chair in my rec room when I was hauling stuff out of the safe for a range trip and the breacher snagged it.
