Scales-Beam Vs Digital

If I didn't already have a Chargemaster I'd consider one of these units:

Well, well, j-b. ..... aint that something!.
Thank goodness that this 'ol coot no longer feels the need for powder weighing speed.

Would go broke trying to keep up with all this new kit, so I would. ;)

Faithfull 'ol 10/10, always ready, works pretty good by flashlight too.
 
Thats pretty good, I like the mechanical to electronic idea, you just need to ensure that no one has messed with the scales. I cant ask for my loaned out beam scales back now as I wouldnt quite have the same level of trust in them! Its a personal thing, I like my eyes and having nearly lost one already this year in an accident I feel close to thm!
 
See my biggest beef is that a chargemaster is $500 and the electronics in it are worth like $25.00 at Radio Shack. It's old technology that has never needed to be updated because it works well as is, and there's practically no competition. The thing should allow you to plug an SDcard or USB cable in to it so you can upload new recipes or at least back up your loads. I'm even willing to bet someone could produce a better scale for half the price.

This being said, I still use my RCBS chargemaster quite a lot. I can produce good ammo so fast, and at a good price. It has certainly paid for itself in time and stress saved. It's funny how I'm being held back now by the rate in which my tumbler can clean the brass, not by trimming and charging.
