I was just wondering, would it be possible to get a scar butt stock and manipulate so that it'd fit an AR? I know it would take a lot work fitting it around the buffer tube but if it could be made to fit I think it would look pretty cool.

What do you think?

Oh well. I was just curious, I really like the looks of the Scar stock and wondered if the Ar could pull the look off.

How many Canadians do you think have handled a SCAR/SCAR stock? How would they know how big it is? I don't think they are importing folding, collapsing or telescoping stocks from the US because export permits won't allow it.

I wasn't aware that collapsing or telescoping stocks couldn't be exported. I knew that almost no one in Canada handled a SCAR but I was just asking if they heard of anyone doing it or if they thought it might be hypothetically possible. I was just curious because I saw someone put an AR stock onto a G36 and was wondering if it would work with the AR and SCAR

I'm not sure I even understand the question..?

The SCAR stock doesn't even mount on a buffer tube....are we talking about a SCAR look-alike stock?

And yes, the adjustable cheek-piece would also be another issue...with the charging handle.

Like I said I was just curious to see it is possible to fit a SCAR stock onto an AR, either through drilling the center out to fit the buffer tube or even if there was a Scar like stock made for the AR

O I thought you were up to date on the Scar 16s issue.

It won't work because the SCAR stock is designed for the receiver that is higher - versus the center axis of barrel and the stock are aligned in an AR.
