No zoo's around here. I've heard rumours we have some around. This just happened to be 40 yards from one of my stands. This may be an exciting find!

Clearly Thai, maybe mixed with some Taco Bell for dessert.


Looks like bear #### to me. Ours have cranberry and chokecherry seeds in em instead of the grapes though. Sometimes they smell like pepper and have little bells in em too.

What do you think it is?

It has a bear look to it with an odd looking solidity about it. It also has the look of moose, if it was a bunch of pellets squished together, sort of. But I don't think it's moose. The pellets, if that's what they are, seem too large.

It could be deer, bear or human. There could be something I'm missing. Maybe a big dumb dog that will eat anything that's not out of reach. But the cherries make it seem unlikely.

Agreed, though there was confirmed bear sighting last year I think less than 100K north of the poster.

There have been bear in Ancaster and Burlington...but they get found out pretty fast.

It doesn't really look like Bear crap at least not the stuff I see whenever I go hunting . It looks like a large K9 as far as consistency goes he ate green ruffage which was pretty much digested and then a crap load of red seeded grapes which did not fully digest suggesting he ate too many and really had to go . If there are no Vineyards nearby for a wild critter to gorge at and the fact that it was 40 yards from your stand ... It might just be whomever was hunting your stand the day before is the culprit. Set up a snare baited with TP and see if you can get a vegetarian hunter .

There is running water nearby, as well as a vineyard. Property owner has a couple golden retrievers. The graas in it and lack of TP make me think it's not human. I'm too far from Tac870 to consider him either.

-Very similar to what I am seeing here. The coyotes are eating a lot of choke cherries and leaving lots of purplish crap on the trails. I think that, by size & shape it is coyote.
