So I am new to Alberta hunting and have not been hunting for about12 years and am going back out this year. I have been reading all about scent blocking from the guys doing nothing to the ones showering and washing clothing with sent be gone stuff. Dose all this really work?
I am going to be getting new cameo for this coming fall and looking at articles with Scent Blocker it is worth paying extra for?
Hunting boots what is everyone using. I use to use my good hikers but to what I am readying they leave a city sent trail. Do you guys have a separate set of boots for the bush.
I will be deer, elk, and coyote hunting this year.

There is or was a big lawsuit against ScentBlocker, basically it doesnt work like they say it does. Do a google search and you'll find that this stuff is not all what its cracked up to be.

Cheers!!

For bow hunting season I store my hunting clothes in a rubbermaid container filled with fresh pine and cedar and spray my boots with a scent/blocker before I head out. That's for 20-30 yard shots. For rifle season I dont because the shots are longer. More important to hunt down wind and not move.

I eat green apples when I am on stand and drop the cores on to the ground for a sort of cover scent, like other have mentioned place your clothes in a rubbermaid full of pine and cedar boughs.

Unless you are in an area of strictly hardwoods... An out-of-place natural scent will be noticed, too. Consider the environment you will be hunting in.
