Scent Free in the Vehicle

I'm looking for some input and suggestions here. I work 20 minutes from home, and 5 minutes from most of my hunting spots (mostly whitetail). Usually I carry all my gear in the truck, and leave for the bush right from work.

My question is; anyone have any suggestions on how to keep my clothing as scent free as possible? I realize I can't be 100% scent free, and I'm not looking to spend what I'd need to get a Scent Crusher bag. An airtight tote would probably suffice. Anyone else in a similar situation? What do you use?

No such thing as scent free. Smelling remarkably different than natural habitat surroundings is another matter. Put your hunting clothes in a bag with grass, pine bows, moss, and leaves. Your primary scent will come from your breath. Don't chew gum unless it's death/shyte flavored.

Stuff gear in a garbage bag, then in a tote. You can add some twigs of pine as well but deer can smell you no matter, just do your best.

It's not about being scent free necessarily. Rather reducing the scent from my truck & whatever finds its way into it. I realize I can't be scent free.

just spill a bottle of mare's urine in the vehicle..... LOL

happened to me on a moose hunt in my jeep a bunch of years ago. Never did get that stench out
was glad that a couple years later i swapped out the entire body and didn't have that underlying reek of mare's urine haha

I wouldn't worry too much about it, its my opinion that your breath will spook a deer long before your clothes do.

Most often movement will give you away before scent. However, if I hang my gear in the barn, cow poop is the best coverup scent going...

This I disagree with. Movement will certainly bust you, but if your upwind they will smell you long before they ever see you.

A deer has worse vision than we do, but far better sense of smell.

I keep my hunting clothes in a plastic bag with some pine and cedar boughs. Play the wind to your favor and you should be okay. Also learn how to be very quiet and still.

Movement will betray you first. I don't know how many deer I have shot while smoking. Wind direction can be important. One field I hunt has two blinds so I have a choice. Always have the wind blowing in your face. Occasionally one will walk out behind me. And dumb luck helps. 8 idiots decided to sit on my field. I decided to leave, 10 minutes later on my way to the house out walks a 6 point.
