Looks like we're on a similar path, lol! GSG seems to be doing things right!
 
Plus one on the STG-44. Problem is i cant stock enough ammo lol. Mrs. Cannon and i plan to take it hunting this fall.

Was looking at the GSG15 and STG44, the STG44 won out due to the oall metal and wood construction. The GSG15 looks great but the STG44 looks like it will just last longer, we love the 44!.
 
Still running my STG-44 (.22cal), used her at -21c and still worked as long as the polymags were kept warm in the truck or under my coat. Did not try with a chilly mag for fear of breaking them. Still remember my C-7 mags from the late 80's with the lips snapping off.
